Finally time for art!

The boys are home from school this week, so my days are being spent schlepping them to friends' houses and appointments. It's so much easier when they're in school!!! Anywho, the Paper Whimsy group is having a challenge using poems from Hilda Conkling and certain picture elements provided by the owner, Gale. In this challenge we needed to use a key, a flower, a fish, a door, words from a poem and a PW image. It was indeed a challenge! Here is my interpretation...

HEY GIRL!! I love your collage from the Paper Whimsy elements. I would love to order from them, but I got a cart full and then saw the turn around so my immediate sense of gratification was deflated. I'll do it soon tho. Glad to see you having some art time...mine is few & far between. C and I made ice cream and heart pops for V'day and I posted them on my blog. Other than that...work, work & work. :)

Love your interpretation, Sandee! Indeed I have the bird sheet myself of course, and I see that you´ve used it in a great way! (BTW, I also love the word "schlepped" - I´ve just recently learned that you have it in English, too; of course it also has survived in German.)

This is such a pretty piece. You made many very creative choices in this, and I love the little girl and the color. I am usually a pink girl but I really love this piece.
