SOYB~Fabric
You know how you've always wanted to try something, but just needed the kick in the rear to do it? I always wanted to try sewing an ATC, but I needed that kick! AND I'M A QUILTER!!! I just never sewed paper or anything this small freehand.
Lisa's Step Outside Your Box challenge this week is The Fabric of Our Lives. I decided to do what my friend Martha suggested and just layered all sorts of stuff on to the fabric base. I have paper and fabric and gauzy stuff (I forgot what it's called!) and I used an old photo. The result is what you see here. And, it was fun!!!

4x4 Friday
Here's another piece I want to chuck right out that snowy window!!! I ruined it with the "1"stamp. But I had to share with you something really cool. You know how we all buy Twinkling H2O paints? My friend Jen told me that the PRANG kiddie water colors come in glitter and metallics. SO I went to Dick Blick and found them and ordered them. Holy smoke!!! Just like the real mcCoy and for pennies!!! I wish you could see the glitter in the paint. Of course, scans can't do that. But trust me...it really is like the expensive stuff!
Theme Thursday
Theme Thursday this week is warm colors. I always love working in warm colors, but I'm afraid I missed my mark this week. Can you tell that my 2 oldest teen sons are making me insane? They had a fist fight last night!!! and it totally affected my mood. This has NEVER happened before (the fist fight). It totally affected my ability to concentrate. So I'm donating this piece to them. (Picture me making a raspberry with my lips!)

Altered Art Swap Tip-in
I made these pages for Tanya today. This is for a Round Robin Tip-In and her theme is Stone Angels. I've met Tanya several times; she's a very spiritual person and a LOT of fun to hang out with. She said we should include a psalm if the spirit (no pun intended) moved us. I chose the Psalm of David because it is used in all Judeo-Christian Faiths.

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!
Today was the OWOH blog giveaway. I had made the promise that if my name got selected one time, I would donate $100 to the San Francisco AIDS Foundation in memory of my brother. Here's the post I put on the participants blogs:
This is a great idea! However, I just moved across country and have most of my stuff in storage. What I would like to do, is go into as many of the blogs as I can and sign in. If my name gets pulled by anyone as a winner, I will donate $100 to AIDS Foundation in memory of my brother. If my name gets selected more than once, I will up the ante an additional $10 every time it gets pulled (greedy I know, but one can dream!!!) If my name is not pulled by anyone, I will still make a $50 donation. This way, everyone is a winner.I hope to get my name drawn at least once.
I was selected at least once that I know of. I was notified on my blog and this is what Ketutar posted on hers:
And the winner is... SANDEE
From Sandee's Sanity and USA My husband chose a number between 1 and 111, without knowing what he was choosing. I was counting and when I got to the number my hubby had chosen, and I read the comment, I cried. (Sure, it's "that time of the month; I'm really happy that Fortuna chose her to win my socks and I hope my socks will fit her perfectly and warm her feet and good heart for a very long time :-)
Thanks to Ketutar, AIDS Foundation will have $100 more to go towards ending this horrific disease.
